Advertising
to me is one of the best ways to show a product off, well on of the only ways
to show a product off. It is a huge part of the industry that we live in very
competitive and fun in a lot of ways. You can make it humorous, serious, and
competitive, stand alone, or plane o’ exciting. It is really up to the people
or person who is advertising it they have to be creative and positive in what
they are producing to give a backbone to what there advertising. If they don’t
show effort you can pretty much tell.
You can advertise though radio, television, and ads on websites,
magazines, newspapers, billboards, and so on. This Is up to the person doing it
what they are experienced in or who they know to help with a product. I believe
the best ways to show advertising are through the Internet and or television and
billboards, because those are what people do on a daily basses. I say this well
because frankly this is what we do now as a society it is very media like no
joke! People can then campaign their ideas though conventions twitter,
Facebook, lets just say social websites, and at rallies or whatever it may
be. This classroom experience was an
outstanding experience for me it was very entertaining and influential in a lot
of ways, we read out of the book but a lot of things we did as a class which I
enjoyed it very much. It is not the
field I am getting in but, it is a thing to learn because it is around us in an
everyday life no one thinks about it and it is fun to know what is going behind
everyone’s product.

WEEK 10 EOC: What channels are you going to do to get your product noticed?
What I am going to do to get my product noticed Is I am
going to show the world how at the CES conference, E3 stuff like that. CES is
to show the statistics compared to others, and how awesome it would be when it
is, put to tests against other products. On top of this I will also show the
sleek and new and improved look witch gives it its title the titan because its
rough and rugged design is made out of aluminum compared to the other made out
of plastic cases. This is already give it a big jump, in recognition because enthusiasts
out there want there stuff to look good inside there system when they build it.
Then we will share the price, and compare it with older models showing why its
so expensive and how my GPUS are in one card x2. Making it the most for the
money spent. I will then bring it to E3
and play the best games out there on ultimate graphics, showing how much this
machine can take. Not only will I stress the card like that but will also be
recording video at the same time and using another monitor showing statistic
are still up. This would all be displayed on the three screen experience and
the other peoples can be on a one screen or three screen and this still going
to overpower it which better and higher frame rates and response times then
then competitors. This is what I would do.

WEEK 9 EOC: Creative Content
What I want to do with my creative content is taking a picture;
of a scene where there is a LAN party going on. LAN party is a group of
friends, competitors, and or a group of NERDS get together for a gaming experience.
They all bring their systems, and sit down and game against one another. They
will be playing a game of some sort that obviously takes high quality GPU to
support the graphics. One person will have a Mid-grade GPU from the same company
EVGA, and the other will have the EVGA TITAN. In the picture I either want to
show the person with the mid-grade EVGA unsatisfied because, he or she will be
loosing and or having graphical issues because they can’t support high quality
gaming on one monitor. The person with the EVGA TITAN, will be happy and
excited as he or she is winning obviously and has not only one monitor but a
TRI-SCREEN experience going on and a crowd surrounding him or her, as the other
person does not have anyone surrounding them when he used to have someone
surrounding then when he first arrived. I don’t know if I want to do this in
Storyboard Mode or Billboard mode, but how I want to show this so far in my
mind I’m thinking storyboard mode would be best to explain what I’m trying to
get a crossed. I haven’t decided if I
want to use a different product besides EVGA as the competitors using the
midgrade yet either, I’m trying not to bash other companies in the
advertisement I want to do. But, this is what I have decided I want to do so
far. I might change it up al little bit as I have not yet taken any pictures
yet.

Analysis of Project in the Real World
Analysis of Project in the Real World Quotes:
1) It is a safeguard against overlooking novel solutions. Page 33 2) You analyze a problem by defining all its important factors, as well as the immediately apparent options for solutions. I believe the analysis of the real world would of been a great success as I believe what I did was very entertaining and, the world that this stuff is involved in would of got it too. This is not a product that everyone knows, so I think that I did an alright job showing what is it, basically letting people know its powerful compared to whatever else s out there. This final project was very exciting and I enjoyed it very much. It made me think alot when seeing ads on tv and what I could do to make my product different then others. I had a great experience with this. And I liked it very much.
Creative Content
Creative Content Quotes:
1) Consider the brand or group and what kind of story would best help you explore ideas or explain it. 2) Choose
from among conventional conflicts: person against person, person against
society, person against himself or herself, person against machine,
etc. Once you determine the conflict, determine the message, characters,
and plot. An excellent example, and an easy one to understand, is the
conflict and plot in the classic American Western film High Noon (1952),
directed by Fred Zinnemann. Classic fairy tales also offer easy to
understand conflicts and plots and are wonderful sources for learning
how to tell stories; for example, examine different tale types as well
as the classic tales: “Beauty and the Beast,” “Cinderella,” “Little Red
Riding Hood,” “Snow White,” “Bluebeard,” and “Hansel and Gretel.” 3) Consider
telling a story where the brand or group plays a pivotal role in the
story or at least a role where the characters are involved with or use
the brand or group. 4) Alternate
route: Find an existing story and see how your brand or group fits into
it, for example, use the story of “Jack and the Beanstalk.” Page 41 for all Information from: Landa, R. (2010). Advertising by Design: Generating and Designing Creative Ideas Across Media. Wiley
Promotion
Promotion QUOTES :
1) If you could easily swap the brand, then your theme or idea is probably too generic.
2) In a professional setting, various digital solutions involve interaction models, user testing, detailed wireframes, functional specifications, development activities, quality assurance, and exit criteria (once testing is complete).
3) The other possible ways of depicting our idea—the “real life” approach—scenes of people scurrying to the airport—ensuing mayhem—happy resolution, or title cards revealing one brilliant headline after another, or beautifully shot scenes with a clever counterpoint of contemporary music—were washed away.
4) Why is it that so many great ideas die on a piece of paper? They “look” great, they “sound” great, and then something terrible happens. I suggest that the next time an idea turns out just the way you imagined, or better yet, way better than you imagined, first thank the great people you worked with, and second, reconstruct the events that led to that success and try to learn from them.
PAGE 204 INFORMATION FROM TEXTBOOK:
Landa, R. (2010). Advertising by Design: Generating and Designing Creative Ideas Across Media. Wiley
So What I have chosen to do was choose two video cards done by other companies, i chose two different models too. they have having a conversation about the bigger GTX 690 talking down to the GTX 680 asking why his frames per second are so slow, the 680 comes back saying why he is so a cheaper price and he ius work more bang for the buck, they then realize there is a huge chip above them witch begins to fall from the sky, this of-course is the EVGA TITAN, they scream get smashed. This is falling formt he sky because, of-course they are TITAN's, and what they were talking about is both of those packed into one video card. Witch makes both of them nothing compared to the evga. This will be an advertisement that I chose to do unlike what i selected before I like the way it came out you will be able to see it in my creative content final project post.
The Big Idea
The Big Idea:
1) Creative advertising requires the communication of a meaningful message to an audience through an idea, expressed through the visual design and copy.
2) An agency must generate several viable concepts to present to their client.
3) Not only does the design serve to catch the viewer's attention with its atypical appearance, but also its form and content are completely interdependent.
4) “In focus group after focus group, someone who had never considered the magazine to be ‘for them’ would become engrossed in an article relevant to them. So how do you convert the people who aren't in focus groups? By making the advertising as intelligent and colorful as the publication itself. In other words, make it a product demonstration on paper. Get people's noses in between the pages, and they'll stay there.” PAGE 68

Everyone that is into games goes to E3, this is for console games and computer games, as well as this event called CES, CES actualy comes to Las Vegas every year. I Would use these events to show off my product and how spectacular it is compared to its competition, It actually so powerful it docent even have numbers in it. Like the 600 series, 700 series, its just called TITAN, it is literally in its own category, witch this show you right here how amazing it is. Its slick design of aluminum compared to these other cases witch is surrounding it made of plastic. The ventilation of this is superb compared to the others, witch makes the room cooler when you have your system on for an extended period of time all of these aspects will be shown and proven at all these evens that the campaign will be taking place. Leave the competitor with a knock out or a dazed fight back against us.
Competitive analysis
Competitive analysis Quotes:
1) “Bloom's Taxonomy”
2) We comprehend—we grasp the meaning of the material we have gathered, gaining insights. And we apply, making use of the material in new, more immediate contexts.
3) The traditional conceptual design stage, we analyze, examining our material in search of an idea. And, we synthesize, combining different ideas and influences, bringing parts together to form a new whole.
4) Involves material gathering, meetings, setting the design and production schedule, and sometimes market research.

So I figured that I would like to, use the EVGA TITAN how we would campaign this is showing other how obsolete this item is compared to others. Not just with words but with a head to head statistical battle one right next to the other showing how the TITAN is scientifically for video editing section, photo editing, section, and of-course a game section showing ho much more frame rates it can get compared to its competition. I believe hands on proof is a lot better then just talking about it and seeing how noting happens sorta like the election lol. Of-course we will mass advertise this stuff on face book pages, and offer the competitor to come and bring there best GPU to go against this beast the TITAN.
EVGA GTX TITAN: EMBRACE THE POWER OF A GOD
EVGA TITAN stands for its self, as a Titan is a huge part in
the Greek and Roman mythology. Basically, telling you how powerful of a product
this GPU is if you purchase this item. Titans are powerful and have the
foundation and they are powerful enough to take a lot of power in a fight. The
same way this “TITAN” done by EVGA can take because, it is duel GPUed in one
device witch can support multi screen function for a simulator experience giving
you max capability unlike its competition witch takes Tri SLI or Crossfire mode
with two cards, this only takes one card the “TITAN”. So I cam up with the
Slogan EMBRACE THE POWER OF A GOD. I chose this Slogan as it show you that it
is a powerful products that will you will not regret if you purchased it.
Therefore if you are the enthusiast that wants max gaming experience this is
the power you want to embrace.
WEEK 7 EOC: The Pitch
I want to do an advertisement on a EVGA GTX TITAN it is the most powerful GPU out there for a multi-screen gaming experience. It will blow your mind away on how many frames per second you can can get. Even compared to its past products like the GTX 690. Two GTX 690's in SLI won’t even get close to a GTX TITAN by itself. The TITAN will outmatch it. So the slogan that I want to pick is “Embrace the Power of a GOD” Because there talking about the TITAN. And TITANS are a huge part of a Greek and roman wars of mythology. So basically if you own this product you will have the power of a god in your gaming experience online giving you the most frame rates eligible known to technology for purchase now. How I want to advertise this is a storyboard showing a few images, how you will be discouraged as a gamer if you don’t have one of these units. How I will show this is with someone gaming on a modern game that requires such a product and them not winning on a slower system, and then again with them gaming with the power of a god the “TITAN” winning the match because they own the product. I do not own this product and already told my wife when I get the savings I will get it. I Chose this product because, I know how good it is and how much I love it and I believed I can advertise it in a good and meaningful manner. This may not be a product that everyone knows but in my world it is a product that everyone should know and I want to advertise it for that reason. Everyone has a computer and you want it to run smoothly and this is something that will allow that especially if you into Photography and filming because this product can produce a lot of potential to allow such a future, photo editing and film editing.

WEEK 6 EOC Allen Shermin "Wide-Track"
Image Location: https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik59AM8lLWXzeUI7TiWttUB1VN57s9kNH6eZAat0Mq4cBCmBb5wvI1FMIJy1zptlMB_-58hyphenhyphen4ykmZc-wlG4ch0mo_0d6l9ZpbUbxLzGZU2xdNLXGC0MSo0G6lCI01Aa5lg00p_FajNpJsx/s1600/3.jpg
Wide-Track is a tire depth that makes it so you have more stability and control of the car. This is still used in daily cars now days. Car tires have all sorts of different traction and weather proofed tires. I believe that “Wide-Track” was a step forward in the right direction for more control on the cars we now use to this day. So yes the wide-track was a good idea not a bad one and they advertised it pretty well in this ad that I posted up above. This will make you drive better.
WEEK 5 EOC - Super Bowl Advertisement
Super Bowl Commercial
Ad
This is an Advertisement that was placed on the super bowl back when I
was growing up that I have always remembered. Budweiser does it; they are a
beverage company that supplies alcoholic drinks. The reason I like it so much
is because the whole time there showing the AD they are drilling there name of
there product in your head in a funny manner. The frogs are ribbiting "Bud" "Weis"
"er". It was done in 1995 during the super bowl this particular one I
chosen to show. The only time they really showed this was during the super bowl
as well. They did this for a couple years I believe if I remember correctly
but, it obviously worked as I remember it being the best one to this day. I don’t
really watch the super bowl ever year but I remember this ad as a kid, and I
still like it to this day. They do not make these commercials with the frogs
anymore as it has been discontinued I guess you could say. But, if they brought
it back I would probably watch the super bowl more often. I have heard from a
lot of people that ads are some of the main reasons why a lot of people watch
the super bowl especially if there team is not the team playing. As well this is
one of the most expensive ways to show your ad on television is on this day.
Anyways this AD to me is the best one and I would enjoy seeing it again. You
should take look at the link above is you never seen it.

WEEK 4 EOC: Role of Women in Contemporary Advertisements
Role of Women in Contemporary Advertisements
Here is two ads one Vintage one Modern, the vintage ad is an
ad showing youth t women can do it because the men where all drafted over seas
for combat. So it is influencing them showing that they have the momentum to do
the jobs that they were forbidden to basically do when there husbands where
there. As for the Modern age advertisement it shows you how much society has
showing how amazing their body could get wearing there Nike brand shoe. The
reason this is such a big difference is because you would have never seen an ad
like this back in the 50s-60s. It is not a bad thing at all, but shows how much
we have opened up in letting women do that they can do. As the first ad says We
Can Do IT” witch it very true in the modern age now. As a human everyone should
be equal women, men, black, white. Whatever it is, the advertisement’s here
cans how you how fast everything is moving in a forward direction as even women
can join the military now and show how much “They can Do IT,” too. The
advertising world is very different then it was back then from now. The Modern
advertisement here shows how the Nike show will make you body look amazing for
the men. Make you slick slender and motivated. Amazing ads in my opinion.

WEEK 3 EOC: Tobacco Ad
-->
- 1. Determine the scenario: What happens in this frame?
- 2. What is the setting? What are the conditions?
- 3. Who are the people or groups?
- 4. What is their point of view around this specific experience?
- 5. What are their goals?
- 6. What are their assumptions? What are their perceptions?
- 7. Are there conflicts? Is there cooperation?
- 8. What are the outcomes?
This vintage advertisement on tobacco is stating how
pleasurable it is to smoke the brand of camel. The gentleman in the ad is
looking relaxed and laid back trying to show how hip it is with there brand
being burned by you. They have him in a nice breezy day birds a chirping
condition. The point of view is they have a young built guy smoking their
smokes in a relaxed cool fun environment. Their goal is to sell their pack as a
fun enjoyable product instead of just death. They do mention the surgeon’s
warning on this pack but as well they spin it off with how the character and
speech at the top say’s “Pleasure To Burn” speaks for itself. They have a pack of smokes you can see rolled
up in his sleeve to show another cool trend that people can do to hold there
pack (In another “Hip Way”). There is a conflict because they have a surgeons
warning on their ad, so they try and show that although it can cause death, it
is a hip cool thing to smoke a stogie. The outcome to this ad obviously was a good
outcome, because, people to this day get a lot of pleasure smoking cigarettes
even though they know for a fact that it kills people. So much to say, even though
they know it can kill them in the process.

WEEK 2 EOC: Questionable Ethics
PHOTO FROM: http://images.elephantjournal.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/yoga2.jpg
ABSOLUTE YOGA, This is intertwining a workout with vodka witch the two I believe you should not mix together witch to me makes the ad irrelevant in its-self. They show the bottle on its neck, as a human would be if they got too drunk with there liquor in my opinion that is the way I look at it. Normally they would put drink responsibly, witch it does say at the bottom of image but how can you say drink responsibly when your showing an image of there liquor face first.
PHOTO FROM: http://totalpict.com/images/17/1776343090503107a32ccb4.jpeg
There's plenty of time to sleep when you're dead I think is a horrible way to advertise LIGHT beer. I think mentioning anything about death with alcohol is not right because, a lot of people are killed from this substance. So mentioning it on an add then were talking about calories but, it can go a bunch of different directions, bad advertising in my opinion.

This is an ad saying there smokes are better for you then other brands. There actually saying there cig's are the best int he market. I don't think that smoking is good in general fr you at all but then they didn't really know that smoking was bad. There also using there Chesterfield fields as saying its scientifically proven hat there the best witch is all wrong in ever sense.

WEEK 1 BOC: About Me
Photography is an art it is a snap in time you capture though a glass lens. You see pictures throughout the world, on walls, internet, hallways, etc. A picture is more like a moment captured in time, a glimpse of the past, of events like weddings or parties, childhood or first day of school, can be any moment you want to remember and one flick of the finger and you have yourself the proof of past times. Photography has all sorts or roads you can go down. Such as, Street photography which is more on the go shots, or pro sport photography, National Geographic is another one out in the field doing photojournalism.
The route I chose to go is to open a studio and do portraits for people, weddings, events, concerts, or pro games as this is capturing history of someone’s life, or career. You would be part of their life for as long as they have those moments you snapped for them. This to me is totally worth being involved in this industry, as well it’s exciting. Photography is a very social lifestyle and would be mostly loved and viewed by the majority of the world every day. I say if you want it go for it, I dd.

WEEK 1 EOC: Volkswagen Lemon
“The Volkswagen missed the boat”
This Quote to me means they started marketing this car in the United States with bad timing and it flopped. World War Two had just ended a mere 10-15 years ago. What happened during WWII? The Nazis captured the Jews. The agency that produced this ad was a Jewish company, why would they want to help out the enemy. This is not only a bad batch it is also a advertising from Germany simply after the war. They had a bad batch of cars that failed the inspection, basically making them “lemons”
“We pluck the lemons; you get the plums”
In other words the company is saying they will collect all the bad apples in the bunch before sending them out. But a wonderful advertising sales pitch. No one wants to get the bad seed, that’s why the inspect everything. The first one came back not so great so they went at it again and came out better.
“Final Inspection is really something!”
They are telling you that these cars are very well inspected by around 4k employees The reason they tell you this is to let you know that even though there was a bad batch “LEMON” It was just a common mistake and will not happen again. So they will insure you that your car will be guaranteed not a “lemon”.
